Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Personally wanted to come and try the affogato and it tasted super good! Definitely a must. The ice cream was nice too. Price was affordable too! As the sign said “the oldest ice cream ship of bellagio since 1919”. The shop at a very rustic and unique feel; with all the snacks, pastries laid out. Thought the staff could be a little friendly but nonetheless no regrets coming here."
"Very very busy! But the staff is kind and the store is wonderfully decorated! We recommend the Affogato and the Chinotto!"
"What a lovely shop. Oldest gelato store in Bellagio. The brothers who own it are the sweetest. Told us their whole history. The gelato was superb! Still homemade too. There’s a lot of stores around Bellagio with lines for gelato, this is by far the best. Tasty, history, good price. Everything that makes being in Italy special. May this store stay strong and keep running. Loved it!"
"had one of the best affogato ever! super delicious and coffee is too good!"
"Good service and a very cozy place. It’s definitely in a touristy area, so expect tourist prices; quite high compared to nearby areas with less tourist traffic."
"I’m back home but I still dream of the fragola gelato. Super friendly old man, amazing gelati and a beautiful traditional café."
"My second gelato for the day did not disappoint. Ordered the black cherry merlot and it was good. Could taste the cherry and it wasnt too sweet. But you have to eat it quick because it melts fast (sunny 16 degrees outside) Manned by two elderly men, locals of Como, this shop also sells others candies and goodies. Very old timey looking which lends it its charm"
"Kind staff, incredible quality gelato, and a large selection of sweet and treats. Inside the shop is nostalgic, the atmosphere is incredible. We came here twice during our vacation for the gelato alone- the lemon is the best I've had."
